Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is, once again, being the fiery and passionate leader we are proud of.

Not only is the Democrat from New York trying to lower the price of PrEP for LGBTQ people, but she’s also openly expressing her love and support of us. Ocasio-Cortez recently attended the Bartschland Follies, which is a drag/burlesque show in New York City and is presented by nightlife icon Suzanne Bartsch.

Ocasio-Cortez met and witnessed performances by many artists like Joey Arias, Dirty Martini, Murray Hill, and Marcy Richardson. But it was what the politician chose to do after Arias’ performance that got us excited.

Arias himself recorded the moment in the video down below. AOC, who has already shared her love of RuPaul’s Drag Race before, got up on stage to express her love of drag, performers, and LGBTQ people. In the video below you can hear Ocasio-Cortez say to the crowd and performers, “You are beautiful. You are accepted.”

You can watch the moment, and check out some photos from the night, below.
