He claims he was treated like a ‘terrorist’

A gay porn star is claiming he was strip-searched and interrogated at an airport for having a ‘Muslim’-sounding name.

Ibrahim Moreno, a French-Cuban top performer, had traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel for a personal appearance at a gay nightclub.

In a Facebook post, the Lucas Entertainment actor said Ben Gurion International Airport had treated him like a ‘terrorist’.

‘Finally at home after a rather dreadful weekend,’ Moreno, who identifies as Christian, wrote.

‘I never thought traveling to another country would make me feel like shit.’

Moreno said security to enter the country took him two and a half hours. He says he was questioned three times.

‘Believed the worst would have happened, but no… it was only a sign of what would come later,’ he said, saying that it was even worse when he tried to board a flight back to France.

Authorities, according to Moreno, had an issue with his first name ‘Ibrahim’.

‘I have been humiliated, treated like a terrorist’

He said: ‘Today at the Tel Aviv airport back home I have been humiliated, treated like a terrorist and simply because my name is IBRAHIM. Why can not I have a name of Arab origin?

‘I’m GAY, I’m not a MUSLIM. I don’t speak any Arabic language, but if I carry a cross that allows me to be judged and humiliated.’

Moreno said, in an attempt to leave Tel Aviv, he was interviewed four times and that his suitcase was emptied out, his personal hygiene items thrown away, and he was forced to undress.

‘I could only cry of the impotence and the rage,’ he said, noting he nearly missed his flight.

In a statement to Ynet, an Israel Airports Authority spokesperson said security checks are ‘carried out on all travelers leaving the country regardless of their identity, nationality, etc, and in the procedures laid out by the authorized officials.

‘Items that are prohibited on flights in hand luggage are confiscated as is the norm all over the world,’ the IAA said.
