coming out

Now this is a coming out story!

One Direction alum Harry Styles is no stranger to uplifting the LGBTQ community.

While touring the States during Pride month, Styles has wrapped himself in rainbow flags, donned AIDS awareness pins, and dedicated songs to male audience members.

While the “Sign of the Times” singer’s world tour is coming to a close and Pride month has passed, the performer is still doing his part to make America gay again. At his concert in San Jose, Texas on Wednesday (June 11), Styles helped a fan come out of the closet.

When Styles noticed a fan with a sign that read: “I’m gonna come out to my parents because of you,” he paused the show, asked the fan for her mom’s name (Tina), and quieted the audience to shout: “Tina, she’s gay!”

After the show, the fan took to Twitter to thank Styles for always supporting the LGBTQ community.

“Thank you so much for creating an environment where I am proud to be who I am. Your continuous support of the LGBTQ+ has helped me come to love myself and feel safe. Thank you for tonight and I can’t wait to show Tina (my mom) this video. Love you always.”

The woman’s mother was not in the San Jose crowd but has seen the video and gave the moment and announcement a thumbs up.
