Neil-Patrick-LGBT

This week, James Woods – the voice of Hades from Disney’s Hercules – revealed his own ignorance when he posted out a tweet slamming two parents and their ‘gender-creative’ child.

In the online post, he suggested that allowing a child to experiment with their gender would lead to murderous behaviour. Adding that the child will eventually chop up his own parents.

Attached to the Twitter post was a photo of the young family smiling for a picture at Orange County LGBT+ Pride in Santa Ana, California.

James wrote: “This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you’ve done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.”

However Neil Patrick Harris was having none of James’ remarks – and he replied in the most ideal of ways.

An openly gay man and father to six-year-old twins, Neil took to his Twitter account to reply…

Neil stated that James should be ‘ashamed of himself’ after tweeting out the picture, highlighting the the ‘ignorant and classless’ comment about the family. Adding that the family are actually friends of his.

Neil wrote: “Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods. I’m friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself.”

But it all didn’t end there.

James Woods stuck to his guns and stated that he saw the family as using their child as a ‘propaganda doll’ for ‘social justice’, suggesting the parents were forcing the child into this behaviour.

What followed was a rant my Mr. Woods, trying to dig himself out of the hole he found himself in, suggesting he was only showing sympathy for the child who was being made a target of.

He even tried using the ‘I-have-gay-friends’ defence in an attempt to stop the ‘homophobia train’.

Responding to the events follow Neil’s comments, the incredible mum of the fabulous young boy, wrote: “I don’t have much to say yet. Actor James Woods published a really vile tweet about our family and Neil Patrick Harris came to our defence.

“I’m still processing much of the last 24 hours. What do I know for sure? Neil is a class act and our village knows how to assemble at a moment’s notice.”

James Woods – sashay away.
