sense8

Popular show has only had two seasons

Fans of Sense8 are not letting the canceled show go without a fight.

They have launched a Change.org petition for a season three of the Netflix drama that has so far been signed by more than 440,000 people.

‘The cancellation of Sense8 Season 3 has been completely unexpected,’ reads the petition.

‘We don’t know any reasons yet, however it’s quite strange that a show that has received such positive response from a wide and heterogeneous audience, gets cancelled.’

Netflix announced last week that the drama series from transgender siblings Lilly and Lana Wachowski (Matrix) will not continue.

Sense8 is about eight complete strangers who are scattered across the globe – America, Korea, England, Kenya, Germany, India, and Mexico – but find themselves mentally, emotionally, and spiritually connected.

It included plenty of LGBTI content.

‘We believe it is necessary that TV shows and movies which, from its content, provide the world with a message of love, diversity and respect,’ the petition also states.

‘All these values have been brought to life by the characters of the show, and the message it has is extremely important for society.

‘It is not just a tv show, to watch for fun, instead of just being that, Sense 8 has given the world a new way of seeing others: with acceptance, love and understanding.’
