“There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear. What was done to me this week was appalling cruelty. By my husband, my family, by St Pats and by An Gardai Siochana, by my son, Jake and by Donal Lunny and Angela singleton, by my son’s girlfriend, his friends… after everything I’ve been put through and been forced to go through alone ..” O’Çonnor wrote.

At some point in the post, O’Çonnor says “I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name.”

Gardai Police was announced, and after a check they declared the singer was “safe and well” and receiving medical treatment.

The singer seems to have a lot going on, and the issues in her family have brought her down. For a person with mental health problems it is common to become overwhelmed and feel devalued by the others:

Furthermore she seems to also be overwhelmed by the financial situation as she claims to have been “ripped off left, right and center. I consequently do not at all have the kind of money people think I might have.”

Last year, the singer has disclosed that she wanted to date women because it “ain’t really working out” with men.
