Starbucks has launched a reusable rainbow tumbler and it’s all you need to keep your iced coffee cold.
The ecofriendly cup is designed for cold drinks and it’s set to be hugely popular during Pride parades, where hydration is crucial. It comes with a white lid and a white, reusable straw.
The rainbow-hued tumbler features the word LOVE on a rainbow background, aiming to celebrate ‘pride, kindness, love, and diversity’.
It costs $16.95 and is available for a limited time at stores in the US and Canada.
In their Instagram stories, Starbucks saidt he cup is ‘just the beginning of Starbucks support of the 50th anniversary of Pride month’. They also said the company is committed to ‘a culture of belonging, inclusion and diversity’.
Starbucks is just the latest company to launch Pride merch this year. After the controversial LGBT M&S sandwich, the Pride beer and the high-street end clothing line, the coffee giant wants to make sure it’s more than just rainbows slapped on everything under the sun.
‘In addition to health benefits for partners in LGBTI relationship, the company has also supported partners who are transgender or considering transitioning, and even broadened health care coverage to include gender [confirmation] surgery,’ they said in a statement.
