Journalist Ford Fischer was first to tweet the letter written by Netflix to the organization informing them they...

In the 72 hours before we meet, Bobby was in LA, New York and also Phoenix. After leaving us – on a trip that included an appearance on national television and a date by Royal appointment, in the company of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – he’s casually off to Las Vegas. Confessing he’s feeling just a tad sleepy (and possibly hungover after partying with Killing Eve star Jodie Comer), Bobby is all ours as we meet to discuss...

Attention dear readers: read no further unless you don’t mind a plot-point reveal for the new season of Stranger Things. The popular Netflix nostalgia series sparked discussion after a scene showing the characters Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Will (Noah Schnapp) arguing about the dissolution of their core friend group when most of the boys, including Mike, find girlfriends. Will doesn’t have much interest in dating, and prefers to play Dungeons & Dragons with his friends. The conversation contains a curious rebuke. “It’s...

Juan Pablo Di Pace (images via Instagram) Juan Pablo Di Pace, one of the stars of Netflix’s Fuller House, recently came out as gay during a TedX event in the Netherlands. Di Pace (Mamma Mia!, AD The Bible Continues, Dallas and Camp) spoke to the audience about growing up in Argentina and how, as a small boy, he realized he enjoyed playing with girls instead of boys. Until one day, he heard a word for the first time in first grade. “It started like thunder that...

Well, this is awkward. And possibly cryptic. But also maybe nothing. Who knows? But it’s certainly gotten our attention. Netflix has quietly and inexplicably removed 66 of 120 episodes of Chelsea Handler’s now-cancelled original series “Chelsea” from its platform. This might not seem like such a big deal except that it’s the only time the streaming giant has ever scrubbed content that it owned and created. And the fact that they’re not saying why they did it is also, well, kinda...

A new poll found that LGBTQ are actually pretty fine with just about anyone showing up at Pride, despite controversies around police officers, kinksters, families, and corporations. A poll of 801 LGBTQ people conducted by Whitman Insight Strategies and Buzzfeed News found that the community overwhelmingly supports just about everyone going to Pride. When asked about police officers marching in Pride parades, only 10% of people said “No.” 79% said “yes” and the rest didn’t give an answer. Corporations have also been...

Netflix recently released the 1995 anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, a dramatic post-apocalyptic series in which young people control large bio-mechanical suits to fight off giant destructive monsters. And while fans were initially excited to have the entire series at their fingertips, they quickly realized that Netflix’s new “English-language translation and voice track dials back famous homoerotic subtext,” according to Vox.com. Vox writes: In one particular scene, a boy named Kaworu declares his love for Shinji…. or at least he used...

Plans for a filmed version of the Tony Award-nominated musical The Prom have moved forward, with the announcement of the casting of several key roles. The Prom earned positive notice on Broadway for its musical adaptation of a true story about a lesbian teen who wants to take her girlfriend to the prom in rural Indiana. The school’s reaction kicks off a media circus over the right of queer teens to take whom they choose to school events. Earlier this...

Hannah Gadsby Australian comedian, actor, and writer Gadsby’s Netflix standup comedy special Nanette became one of the most talked about comedy specials and was met with critical acclaim for its deconstruction of more traditional standup comedy. This shift caused some to question whether to categorize Nanette as standup or not. Gadsby’s brilliantly written special provides completely unique social commentary on LGBTQ  and women’s issues as well as those of other marginalized people with soul-bearing honesty. Female standup comedians are tapping into subject matter...
