If Tom of Finland and Arabian Nights had a lovechild, it would look something like the work of Artqueerhabibi.

The artist, who chooses to remain anonymous out of safety concerns, uses his work to showcase diverse gender expressions and homoerotic love in the Arab world.

Speaking to Pink News recently, Artqueerhabibi says he wants to show the world that LGBTQ people do, in fact, exist in Arabic countries.

“I want to show the world that you can live in Arabian countries and be queer at the same time and there is nothing wrong with it,” he said, “because, in the end, love is a feeling which stands above every other in the world and experiencing it is just a miracle.”
