A 21-year-old k incel named Brandon Andrew Clark has been arrested and charged with the second-degree murder of 17-year-old “biromantic asexual” and social media personality Bianca Devins in Utica, New York. After stalking her, Clark allegedly slit Devins’ throat, posted images of her murdered body online and then unsuccessfully tried to slit his own throat.

The entire saga is super creepy. But before we get into it, here are two definitions:

An incel is an “involuntary celibate,” a type of socially isolated and self-loathing man — usually a white heterosexual — who angrily blames women, feminism and societal beauty standards for his inability to date women or get laid.

A biromantic asexual is someone who feels a romantic attraction to people of more than one gender but generally doesn’t experience sexual desire.

Devins was active on Instagram, Tumblr and Discord, a social media network for gamers. Clark was reportedly friends with her in real life and had sent her a series of increasingly unhinged texts in which he continually harassed and tried to guilt her into a relationship.

Here’s one such text:

While The New York Post claims the two had previously dated for two months, it’s unclear whether that’s the case.

Regardless, Clark reportedly slit her throat in his car, posted pictures of himself with her corpse on Twitch and the message board 4chan. He then slit his own throat — apparently not very well because he then posted a picture of that to Instagram with the caption “I am sorry Bianca” and changed his bio to say “10/06/1997 – 7/14/19.”

Here’s the last message Clark posted to Discord:

Clark was later captured by police and taken to a hospital. He’s expected to survive, sadly.

Wonkette reports that Devins, ” like 50% of all female homicide victims, was murdered by someone she knew.” They further report that while #RIPBianca is trending online, online incel communities are also “claiming that ‘she had it coming’ because she supposedly ‘manipulated men’ into liking her.”

They also see her murder as part of a justified “beta uprising” where dejected incels will kill women and “conventionally attractive” men to assert their “right” to a girlfriend in an “unfair” world. Scary.

Devins’ family released the following statement: “Bianca, age 17, was a talented artist, a loving sister, daughter, and cousin, and a wonderful young girl, taken from us all too soon. She is now looking down on us, as she joins her cat, Belle, in heaven.”

She had planned to attend Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica this coming fall.
