We are recruiting for two stand-out audience development roles in the LGBTI space – a Head of Community Development and Community Development Lead.

This new team will design and deliver compelling and authentic audience development strategies and content to acquire and retain a community following across multiple platforms, and then drive conversion from these platforms to our core content, campaigns, and products.

The team will report to the Director of Marketing and Brand, and will sit between three areas of our business: Content and Distribution, Product Development, and Creative Partnerships.

So whether you’re from a traditional audience development or marketing background, or perhaps you’re doing outstanding community building in different way, we would love to hear from you.

Gay Star News is the world’s only 24/7/365 LGBTI news and content provider. Our dedicated team of journalists are based around the world, from London to Los Angeles and from Myanmar to Manhattan. We are the first with breaking stories, like the Indian Supreme Court making homosexuality legal in September or the introduction of stoning to death in Brunei. Our content breaks new grounds, like our Digital Pride series tackling loneliness and isolation. And our campaigns, like our fundraiser for Chechnya, make a real difference. GSN is always shaping our community’s conversations.

But GSN is more than just another LGBTI news platform. We are evolving to be at the very heart of our community around the world.

We are at an exciting point in our company’s story. We are exploring more ways to deepen relationships with LGBTI communities; including developing our platform and the way they engage with our content. We often don’t know all the answers when developing these new ideas, so we’re building a team that has excellent research skills, and the ability to blend instinct and insight in a way that allows us to create a better community for all LGBTI people.

This is a great opportunity if you’re hungry to take on seemingly difficult challenges and embrace the ambition of growing our brand and community.

The first step is to request a job description for either role. Just email [email protected] saying which role you’re interested in.

This role will be based at our main offices in Whitechapel, London, United Kingdom
