The biggest LGBT sport event will be held for the first time in Helsinki in 2016. The EuroGames, the European Gay & Lesbian Sports Championships, will begin on June 29th and end on 2nd of July 2016. This event will coincide with the pride week in Helsinki. The international EuroGames 2016’s slogan will be – “Equal together – strong together.”

More than 3,000 athletes who will compete in 14 different kinds of sports will take part in this competition. The EuroGames will be held under the patronage of the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö.

As it is well-known, EuroGames is the biggest sport LGBT event in Europe. It is held every year in different countries all over Europe and the main aim of these games – to respect tolerance and support equality starting since 1992.
