Why are always celebrities put under the gaydar? It’s not out of gossip, not in all cases. Knowing that a great actor or a famous singer is gay and has the power to speak for the LGBT community is encouraging.
It’s been hard in the entertainment world to be a LGBT member. We know it from Ricky Martin who has hidden his sexuality so that he won’t have problems in his career. When Ellen DeGeneres came out, she went through a hard time as well.
Lately it seems that the entertainment industry embraces homosexuality better. After coming out, Ellen Page has not lost roles or fans. More and more straight or gay celebrities support the LGBT community. And that’s great for actors, singers, TV stars and for the rest of us as well.
Have you wondered if Matt Bromer was gay? Well, good news. Matt Bromer is gay and proud. He came out in 2012, one year after he had married his husband Simon Halls.
The actor came out during Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards where he received the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his contribution in HIV/AIDS campaigns.
“I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry,” Matt said onstage. “Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”
However, during his high-school years, the actor had to hide and “cover his tracks.”
“When I was in high school, there was no safe haven, there was no outlet for you to speak your mind. So I did what any self-preserving 14-year-old would do—I signed up for the school play and also the football team to cover my tracks.”
Joe Manganiello, who is said to have attended college with Bomer talked about his “Magic Mike” co-star. “You are the example that the rest of our country needs to wake up and see in terms of equality and putting an end to the bullying epidemic and making sure that every family is respected in our schools and our society.”
So, if you still wonder if Matt Bomer is gay, wonder no more. Bomer is 100% gay and there is no doubt about his sexuality.
By the way the couple has three cute children – boys Christopher (kit)8, and Walker and Henry (twins) 5 who are Simon Halls’ biological children by surrogate. They are great parents who are really happy.
So what do you think of this lovely gay family? Do you support their choice to be happy?
