WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Robert Mueller’s public testimony next month is likely to have a profound impact, the head of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee said on Wednesday, adding that the American people need to hear directly from the former U.S. special counsel.

U.S. House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler said the White House may try to block the planned July 17 hearing with Mueller, but was not likely to succeed.
