“What the heck?! This is a joke.”

A lesbian couple popped the question to each other at the same time after accidentally planning two surprise proposals.

Tori Monaco of Austin, Texas, spent months planning her proposal to girlfriend Berkley Cade. And when she got down on one knee during a game of Pictionary last weekend, Cade was taken aback—but not for the reason you might think.

Suddenly friends in the room asked Cade to show Monaco what she had hidden away, and she whipped out an engagement ring for Monaco: Turns out, she had been orchestrating a proposal plan for months, too.

“What the heck?!” Monaco laughed, in tears. “This is a joke. This is a set-up.”

“You said you didn’t want to play Pictionary,” she added, “and I was really sad! I asked first, so you get up.”

After the heartwarming happenstance, Monaco and Cade are now happily engaged—and each sport beautiful rings.

“I cannot wait to marry the woman of my dreams,” Cade wrote on Twitter. “I love you forever, baby.”

Twitter users are fully invested in the double proposal saga, with some even encouraging Ellen Degeneres to feature the betrothed couple on her show.
