Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs appears in no clothes but only his baseball glove in his photoshoot for ESPN magazine’s 2016 Body issue.
The 30-year-old pitcher is one of the 19 athletes chosen this year to be featured in the magazine’s special Body issue, which showcases the rising names in the sporting world.
Alison Overholt, editor-in-chief of the magazine and espnW, told Chicago Tribune that picking a cover athlete is usually a tough process, but Arrieta’s pictures made it an easy decision:
‘I’m extremely hairy,’ the Cubs ace told ESPN. ‘It pretty much connects from the top of my head to my toes with a nice upper body sweater/track jacket type of thing. I’m shaved right now. The chest is good, the back is pretty solidly shaven.’
