The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus

The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus has been through an unpleasant situation, this weekend when they were supposed to perform during San Diego Padre’s baseball game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

When their recording was supposed to play loud in speakers, they were surprised to hear a woman singing instead. And that is not all. The choir has also faced homophobic insults from the audience.

The chior made a post on Facebook where they accuse the baseball team of not intervening.

No attempt was made to stop the recording and start over,” according to the post.”

“No announcement of apology was made to the singers or their friends and families in the stands.

They also pointed out that “serious questions about homophobia within the San Diego Padres organisation and its relationship with the LGBT community.

it seems that Mike Dee, padres’ president apologized claiming “no evidence of malicious intent on the part of any individuals involved.

The Padres organisation is proud of our longstanding commitment to inclusion — within both our sport and our community,” the team declared, putting the blame on  the third-party contractor responsible for the unpleasant events.

“We deeply regret that a mistake on our part has called this into question, but accept full responsibility.”
