New York Senator and Democratic presidential hopeful Kirsten Gillibrand dropped by local gay bar The Blazing Saddle in Des Moines, Iowa, to help celebrate the city’s Pride weekend.

According to The Hill, Gillibrand stepped behind the bar to offer libations to the patrons as the capital city kicked off Pride Month celebrations.

Twitter-users posted photos and video of the White House hopeful serving drinks and even offering a taste of her own cocktail while taking questions about her policies.

The appearance comes just days after Gillibrand announced a wide-ranging LGBTQ agenda on Medium that includes reversing Donald Trump’s transgender military ban, codifying same-sex marriage and banning so-called ‘conversion therapy’ nationwide.

“As president, I will do more than defend LGBTQ rights — I will stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBTQ community in the fight for equality,” she wrote. “We’re in this together, because LGBTQ rights are human rights.”

“The LGBTQ community is not a monolith with a finite set of needs, and equal rights and freedom from discrimination should be the bare minimum we accept,” she added.

Gillibrand was also seen perusing Pride Month gear with Chasten Buttigieg, husband of fellow presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
