(Warning: You may need a box of tissues for some of these!)

The sound of love

Kerry Kennedy got down on one knee to propose to his boyfriend Hayward Duresseau, right after he had cochlear implants fitted and regained his hearing.

Kennedy’s proposal was the first thing Duresseau heard when he regained his hearing after months of not being able to hear.

‘It’s been a long journey to get to this point,’ Kennedy said to his partner.

He then asked: ‘So, will you marry me?’

A Gorgeous proposal

Socialite Nats Getty proposed to her longtime trans YouTuber girlfriend Gigi Gorgeous.

Getty whisked Gorgeous to romantic castle location in Paris on a helicopter surrounded by their family and friends.

She proposed to Gorgeous in the evening using lights to spell out the words ‘Will You Marry Me?’.

After Gorgeous accepted, the castle lit up with an impressive fireworks display.

Gay Aussie daddies

Jarrad Duggan-Tierney and Michael Duggan-Tierney became dads to son Reid in 2010. The youngster was born via an Indian surrogate.

When Australia legalized same-sex marriage at the end of last year, they jumped at the opportunity to finally get hitched this year.

Jarrad got down on one knee in front of Reid and proposed to his longterm partner Michael.

Oh Kiyoko!

A queer couple in Manchester popped the question in front of singer Hayley Kiyoko.

YouTuber Jesy Rae-Smith proposed to her girlfriend Frankie Phillips right in front of the hugely popular singer, affectionately nicknamed Lesbian Jesus.

Other people waiting in line for the meet and greet cheered when they realized what was happening.

Kiyoko then said she felt like ‘the awkward third wheel’ while the girls kissed.

Troye Sivan: ‘Mazel Tov!’

Aussie gay singer Troye Sivan helped a gay couple propose to each other on stage in front of a huge audience.

During the set, Sivan invited up a seemingly random fan, ‘Just to say hi.’ The man’s name was Judah.

After Judah revealed that his boyfriend, Daniel, was also in the crowd Sivan invited him to join them onstage.

The moment ends with Sivan exclaiming: ‘Mazel Tov!’

Same-sex soap opera scene

Two Coronation Street fan favorites Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) and Rana Nazir (Bhavna Limbachia) got engaged after they proposed to each other at the same time.

They unwittingly foiled each other’s romantic proposal plans.

They then both got down on one knee at the local pub in a tear-jerking double proposal.

‘She is love embodied’

Alex G, a Christian and bisexual YouTube singer, proposed to her girlfriend, poet Torri Horness.

She shared the news across social media.

‘Yesterday morning I asked my best friend to marry me,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘She is my person. She is love embodied. And i canNOT WAIT for a beautiful adventure of a life with her.

‘There are so many more things to say but i don’t seem to have words for them right now. Omg,’ she wrote.

Cop that!

A New Zealand police officer proposed to his boyfriend at his own police graduation.

Constable Erik Meechan was graduating along with 77 other members of Wing 315 at the Royal New Zealand Police College.

He had just won the Commissioner’s Award for Leadership, when he stepped forward to make one more speech.

Meechan said: ‘Could Matty Judd please come forward?’

Queer Eye’s culture guy

Queer Eye’s resident culture expert Karamo Brown proposed to his longterm boyfriend Ian Jordan.

The 37-year-old reality television star planned a surprise birthday party for his partner of eight years.

During the party, Brown made a video for Jordan and then at the end, dropped down on one knee.

He said: ‘You are the funniest man I know, the kindest man, my biggest cheerleader,’ reports Entertainment Tonight. ‘You made me feel like I could do anything.’

Christina Aguilera helps gay couple get down and Dirrty

Christina Aguilera helped a young gay man propose to his boyfriend on stage during her Liberation tour.

‘I have a really special surprise that’s happening tonight,’ she told the audience while performing in Hollywood, Florida. ‘I wanna welcome two special people to the stage.’

Fans Mike Kontomanolis and Ben Lear came onstage, and Aguilera handed her mic to Lear.

The Hart wants what the heart wants

YouTuber Hannah Hart proposed to her girlfriend Ella Mielniczenko in Hawaii.

She then posted a YouTube video by herself explaining the announcement and the idea of change.

Hart says in the video: ‘The big change ahead for me in my life is that I have found someone that I want to spend my life with.

‘You guessed it! I asked Ella to marry me and she said yes,’ she said.

Gay porn star gets down on his knees

A gay porn star proposed to his boyfriend, right after they’d finished shooting a bareback gang bang scene together.

During a post-scene photo shoot with the eight other guys from the gang bang, Brian Bonds was already on his knees when he popped the question to his shocked boyfriend Mason Lear.

Bonds said: ‘Well, this is the end of our tour and I can say that this was probably the best day that ever happened between us. And I’d love to do it over and over again, but there is one difference that I want.

‘I want you wearing this,’ he says.

Then he pulls out (no pun intended) a box with a ring inside.

Porn studio Raw Fuck Club posted the video to Twitter (NSFW).

  1. LOL!! I recall my husband and I were watching telly, when it was announced that same-sex marriage was now legal. We had been together for 26 years at that point.

I glanced over to him and asked… want to get married? He responded with a “yes” and here we are, going on 30 years together and now, legally, married!!
