BBC One’s new Christmas advert is the latest to features a same-sex couple.
The festive scenes promote equality and show off the diversity of modern-day Britain, with a range of couples and family set-ups including a male same-sex couple who share a kiss at a Christmas party.
Viewers have since taken to social media to air their thoughts on the new advert, with many praising the inclusivity shown in the advert and expressing the importance of such representation for minorities.

Oh God, the BBC has a gay kiss in their Christmas ad. We should all phone every UKIP supporter immediately to make sure they're ok.

It’s not the first Christmas advert to celebrate same-sex relationships – Sainsbury’s featured two mothers in their stop-motion animation, while Hallmark celebrated two men sharing their first Christmas together in a new home.
