Citizens spent nearly $800 million on same-sex marriage events for six LGBT months, and the tax payments equal to $52 million.
After the US Supreme Court decision in June 2015 concerning the equality of marriage, 96,000 same-sex weddings were registered all over the country over period of time.
Experts from the University of California made conclusions concerning the positive impact of the Supreme Court of the US verdict on the country’s economy. So, 96,000 gay weddings ensured the creation of nearly 10 000 new jobs in such spheres as retail, tourism and hotel business.
On these six months marriage celebrations LGBT citizens spent nearly $800 million, and the taxes paid for these events totaled $52 million.
In the near future this figure will decline, but the overall positive effect on the development of the country won’t be momentary, but will last much longer, experts say.
