News is spreading that Tyler Posey and Avan Jogia are set to play gay roles in an upcoming Starz comedy series.
Deadline has released the news about an upcoming half-hour comedy show called Now Apocalypse. The 10-episode series follows a group of friends, Carly (Kelli Berglund), Ford (Beau Mirchoff), Severine (Roxane Mesquida), and Ulysses (Jogia), as they pursue love, sex, and fame in Los Angeles.
Both Jogia and Posey have amassed gay followings thanks to their good looks and their earlier work in shows like Teen Wolf and Victorious.
Now, it’s been announced that both men will be playing gay roles in this upcoming Starz series.
Posey will be playing “an incredibly charismatic and mysterious guy” named Gabriel who matches with Jogia’s Ulyssess on a dating app. The two will then start dating and Posey’s currently credited for appearing in all 10 episodes.
This won’t be Tyler Posey’s first time playing an LGBTQ character, however, as he played as Adam, the bisexual first love interest of the titular character, in Jane the Virgin.
We look forward to the series Now Apocalypse, which is currently in pre-production and set for a 2019 release.
