„I grew up watching Rocky Horror but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky horror always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock’n’roll!” This is Lambert’s statement following the news that he is going to play the role of Eddie in Rocky Horror, the delivery rock and roll guy. The role was initially played by Meat Loaf back in the 70s.
The original cast included Susan Sarandon, Meat Loaf, Jonathan Adams, Peter Hinwood, Tim Curry and Richard O’Brien, just to name a few. Adam Lambert declared that he will be honored to take part in the reproduction of a cult classic. The new cast will include Adam Lambert as Eddie, Victoria Justice as Janet, Ryan McCartan as Brad, Reeve Carney as Riff-Raff, Staz Nair as Rocky Horror and Laverne Cox as Fox.
The production is set for filming this winter and will be released to the general public in the fall. This means that we still have to wait a great deal until our Horror senses will be tingled again.
