Their first venture sets sail this fall in the Mediterranean.
LGBT-friendly hotel chain, Axel Hotels, and Europe’s largest cruise operator, Dreamlines, have announced that they are teaming up for an LGBT cruise this fall. The eight-day Open Sea Cruises x Axel Mediterranean sailing takes place September 29 though October 6, 2018, on the 1,400 passenger ship Pullmantur Zenith.
Ports of call include Barcelona, with its beautiful buildings of Gaudí (above) and Platja de Sant Sebastià beach; Napoleon’s birthplace in Ajaccio, France; the Côte d’Azur city of Toulon, France, with its spectacular bay views reachable by cable car; Palamós, Spain, known for its beautiful beaches; and, a two-day stay in Ibiza, where passengers can celebrate the night away as part of its season closing party.
On-board, guests can take part in cooking workshops, engage with LGBT activists at conferences, and enjoy wellness-based activities like bootcamp, yoga, and meditation. Nighttime fun will include local bar nights, DJs, dancing, and appearances by some of the queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars.
