Starting today, commuters can purchase a commemorative rainbow-themed Pride Ticket good for 24 hours of service on CTA buses and trains. The special one-day tickets are available at Ventra vending machines in these locations:
Red Line at 95th-Dan Ryan, Belmont, Bryn Mawr, Chicago, Fullerton, Grand, Lake-State, Morse, Roosevelt, Sheridan and Wilson; Brown Line at Diversey and Wellington; Blue Line at O’Hare, Damen and Logan Square; Orange Line at Midway and Roosevelt; and elevated lines at State/Lake and Clark/Lake.
Tickets are good for up to 90 days from purchase. The one-day tickets are good for 24 hours of unlimited rides from the first time it’s used.
The CTA is the most affordable and convenient way to get to the parade with extra service being added to the Red and Brown lines.
From the Red Line, commuters can exit at the Wilson, Sheridan, Addison or Belmont stations, which are all a short walk to the parade route. From the Brown Line, customers can use the Diversey, Wellington and Belmont stations to arrive at the parade.
The CTA encourages riders to avoid the Belmont station, which will likely be crowded.
The parade is scheduled for Sunday, June 30 at noon stepping off from Broadway and Montrose in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. The parade will then travel south on Broadway; then south on Halsted; then east on Belmont; then south on Broadway; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive. Crowd estimates last year topped nearly one million people.
