Ghana cleric claims that earthquakes are consequences of gay sex

A Ghanaian cleric made the jaw-dropping declaration that homosexuality is the reason why earthquakes happen.

Trying to distract the attention from violences against the LGBT community in Ghana, Mallam Abass Mahmud said that gay sex is the cause for natural disasters. Of course, a good reason for bigots to keep on marching against gay people.

“Allah gets annoyed when males engage in sexual encounters, and such disgusting encounters causes earthquakes,” the cleric said to local media.

“Should we allow such a shame to continue in our communities against our holy teachings?” he said in News Ghana interview.
“Certainly no, and we are very happy to chase away such idiots from our Zongo communities,” the cleric continued.

Ghana is a place where the LGBt community is being constantly harassed. Not only that gay people can face three years of prison for same-sex sexual activity, but local figures continue on talking against gay people.

Last year a lecturer in Ghana prophesied that churches will be “filled with homosexuals” if their pastors “are mute about gayism.”

The parliament of Ghana is also resisting pressure from Western governments to adopt LGBT rights.
