You have to watch this
Ireland’s Eurovision entry features a gay couple in the music video.
Ryan O’Shaughnessy, who competed on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012, will perform in Lisbon in May with the acoustic track Together.
The 25-year-old, who previously also appeared on The Voice of Ireland, unveiled the video this weekend.
It sees a same-sex couple walking through the streets of Dublin hand in hand.
It is hoped this video will see Ireland through to the Eurovision final for the first time since 2013.
Ryan is performing Together during the first semi-final on 8 May.
But he will have to get through the semi-final, performing alongside many favorites of the competition so far.
Netta’s TOY, competing for Israel, will also be in the first semi-final.
Ireland’s Eurovision chances
But Ryan has good standing at Eurovision.
His uncle Gary represented Ireland in 2001, finishing in 21st place in the final with his track Without Your Love.
The UK will represented this year by SuRie and her track Storm.
Last year’s winner of the Eurovision Song Contest was Portugal.
Salvador Sobral beat out Bulgaria for the Eurovision glass microphone trophy.
It was the first time Portugal has won in 53 years.
In third place came Moldova, followed by Belgium.
And rounding out the top five was Sweden.
