YouTube has continued to muck up its own attempts to regulate hate speech on its platform with two recent developments.
First, it said today that users can make hateful, even homophobic statements targeting a single individual as long as the statements are part of a larger argument. Twitter has long faced criticism for seemingly being soft on abusive voices, including white nationalists and others. Now, the social networking service says they are conducting in-house research in an effort to determine what to do about the problem.

The students at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, were not having it when demonstrators showed up on their campus holding anti-LGBTQ, anti-women and anti-Muslim signs.
