You might be asking yourself (or Instagram), ‘Where’s hot on the food scene at the moment?’ Well hun, we’ve got you covered.
Here’s six of London’s newest restaurants and bars for 2019 that you simply have to try.
________
The Big Mamma restaurant group just opened their first London location, Gloria’s. Located on Eastern Street, Shoreditch, the likelihood of you already having seen this place on your Instagram feed is high. Their interiors are as grand as the exterior, with layers upon layers of warm colours and incredible textures. Led by Big Mamma chef Filippo La Gutteta, we’re after the 10 layer lasagne and basically every other carb-y treat on the menu.
________
Set right in London’s West End, after a lengthy renovation, VIVI’s restaurant in Centre Point is finally open. With incredible views over Tottenham Court Road, the pink and rose gold interiors are an Instagram dream. If it’s not to stop and eat a long lazy dinner (think modern British classics), then at least stop in for a candy floss-topped cocktail or their super cute neon afternoon tea.
________
Headed up by 3AA Rosette holding head chef Andrew Cole, the newly refurbished riverside property is the ultimate escape, without going out of London. Their recent million pound renovation has basically turned the gorgeous property into a Soho House that you don’t need to be a member of (finally) and the food and gardens are where we’ll be heading every sunny weekend that we’re blessed with…
________
The just opened (as in, within the last week) Kings Arms Hotel and Six Restaurant is situated right on the maze at Hampton Court Palace and has just finished a two year renovation, from dark pub to chic boutique hotel and restaurant. The restaurant’s menu is designed by Michelin Star Chef Mark Kempson, so this is definitely the next foodie destination on our lists.
________
Another new opening for the summer, this time from the guys behind Park Chinois, this modern European Brasserie is the perfect evening haunt (and in the most ideal location). While it’s great for evening cocktails, their all day menu including Truffled Benedict and a full english vegan style means there’s something for everyone.
________
Located in the heart of Shoreditch, the modern French/British restaurant has incredible floor to ceiling glass windows looking over the buzzing city. From their delish cocktails to their soon to be ‘Afternoon Tea Academy’, check out what’s going on for a one-off experience.
