Kylie Kwong is a celebrity chef from Australia and her recent appearance on “Anh’s Brush With Fame” has left viewers in tears.

Kwong described her coming out to her parents to host Anh Do, who paints portraits of his guests while they chat.

She tells the story with drama and emotion, leaving Do speechless and dumbfounded she described her father’s reaction to the news.

“He said, ‘Darling, I just want to say thank you for being so honest,’ but he said, ‘I don’t… I just don’t understand it and I don’t agree with it’,” she related. “‘It’s Wednesday. I want you out of the house by Saturday’.”

“‘From this moment, I disown you as my daughter’,” he told her. “‘’And when you call home, you can speak to your mum and your brothers, but I’m not going to speak to you’.”

Kwong, a third-generation Chinese-Australian specializing in Cantonese cuisine, goes on to describe her mother’s reaction and the days between her father’s deadline; but when she describes her next conversation with her father it is everything the host has to hold back tears.

You will too.
