The Italian travelers on their most romantic trip and where they’d like to get married
Tell us a bit about yourselves…
Luca: We’re Luca and Alessandro, 28 and 27. We met two years ago, because we had a friend in common. We worked as a shoe product manager and shop assistant before dropping everything at home.
How did yours travels together start?
Alessandro: Since we met we understood that our biggest passion in common was to travel. After one month we took the first flight.
How many countries have you been to?
Luca: 10 countries!
Where’s been your best trip and why?
Alessandro: We’re living our best journey right now. We landed in South East Asia on 8 November and we’re in Indonesia now.

Where’s been your worst trip and why?
Luca: Never had a worst trip!
Where was your most romantic trip and why?
Luca: In Paris, two years ago. Alessandro took me in the city of love for his birthday. The best birthday ever!
Have you ever experienced homophobia or discrimination abroad?
Alessandro: Never, fortunately. But of course we have to pay more attention in some countries where religion is deeply rooted.
Would you avoid a certain country because of the laws there?
Luca: The countries which have illogical laws are not on our bucket list!
Ever been to a country where it’s illegal to be gay?
Alessandro: Never before.
Do you prefer to travel solo or with a partner?
Alessandro: We both found the perfect partner to travel with.
Do you ever hope to get married, and if so, would you consider a destination wedding?
Luca: We talked few times about this. For sure we’d love to say ‘yes’ in a tropical country like Thailand or Indonesia.
What is your favorite thing about where you’re from?
Alessandro: Italy is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and the food is unbeatable.
Where were you going the last time you stepped on a plane, other than home?
Luca: The last flight we took was been two weeks ago, to move from Java island to Bali.
What is your top tip for surviving a long haul flight?
Alessandro: Watch a film, sleep, eat, repeat.
What do you like to travel wearing?
Luca: Light clothes like tank top, shorts and flip flops.

Where do you hope to visit this year and why?
Alessandro: We’d love to explore Indonesia from West to East and then move to the Philippines.
Where did you typically go on holiday as a kid?
Luca: Always in Italy with our parents. It has some of the most beautiful mountains and seas of Europe, so it was hard to choose where to go!
