Fans urged that Captain America gets a boyfriend as we don’t see many gay characters in superhero flicks, even if, some of them are gay in the comic books.
So, given the tight relationship between the Cap and his pal, fans saw more than a friendship and urged Marvel to hook up the two of them.
I will say that Cap/Bucky have the best love story in any of the Marvel movies. #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend pic.twitter.com/3fej4FDPUU

Then, a student created the hashtag #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend that took over the internet.
I feel like it sucks that people in the LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] community don’t get the representation that they deserve,” the student said, “and it would be so amazing for something like Captain America or Marvel to be able to portray that.”
And finally, Captain America got a boyfriend. While at Wizard World in Philadelphia, Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan gave their blessings to Captain America and Bucky, when they shared a kiss.

Cap and Bucky were “played” by two fans who wanted to make everyone’s dream come true. And they made it in front of the original characters!
