Aaron Carter is opening up to talk about his sexuality on the latest episode of the LGBTQ&A podcast.
Back in August, Carter came out as bisexual to his fans and followers in a post shared to Twitter.
Then shortly thereafter, he told TMZ:
“I had an experience when I was 17 with a guy, but now as an almost 30-year-old man, I’m going to be pursuing relationships with women.”
But now, having taken time to address some health concerns, it would appear as though the 30-year-old singer is ready to open himself up to a relationship, and potentially with a man.
He says:
“I definitely embrace my bisexuality and, you know, it’s still new to me.”
He continues:
“Who knows what the future has to bring…Whether it’s a relationship with a guy…
“I’m single, and I look forward to what the future has to bring when it comes to a good relationshp.”
When asked by show host Jeffrey Masters about the aforementioned comment where Carter said he wasn’t interested in dating a guy, Carter explained:
“No, I don’t feel like that.
“I don’t know, I’m still confused about it. About bisexuality…
“I don’t know, I’m single right now. I don’t know what’s gonna come my way…”
Although it’s not clear what the future will hold for the singer, it does sound like he’s in a good place.
“I’ve been looking forward to thirty for a long time, actually. And just switching my life, you know those gears we all have to switch in our lives.
“I’m 30, and I would definitely have to say that it’s something that makes me want to be more mature, and more responsible with my life.”
