Ellen Page and Samantha Thomas have been in a relationship for a while now. Ellen made her red carpet debut at TIFF holding tenderly her girlfriend. This was happening in September. Even if they were at the beginning of their relationship, Ellen did not refrain from expressing her love for Samantha. “Walking down the carpet holding my girlfriend’s hand is pretty special,” she confessed, “It’s pretty awesome”.
Asked why she had chosen that night to make her relationship official, she replied: “I’m in love.” Since then, the love story between Ellen and Samantha unfolded beautifully, being somehow comparable to the relationship between Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi.
They both look happy and share it on social media. Their Instagram bursts with nice moments the two spend together. It seems that they are together most of the time, and they both look so gleeful and so in love. Ellen is very happy as she doesn’t have to hide her love.
“To love someone openly, to hold someone’s hand walking down the street, it’s a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful thing, and I’m just lucky enough to have someone in my life as special as her,” Page expressed her excitement about her relationship.
It’s been a great year for Ellen, not only from a sentimental point of view, but also regarding her career in the film industry, and her status as an openly lesbian actress.
“I feel so happy. I feel so different from how I felt when I was closeted, and to have experiences where I meet people who have been touched in some way by just getting to be who I am is such an incredible experience … I’m in a very fortunate place in my life.
“I’m a very privileged person to get to talk about issues, particularly those that affect people much, much more vulnerable to me,” she added. “I feel really grateful to be in a position where potentially I can do little things or whatever I possibly can to help anyone any way I can.”
Ellen confessed that her relationship with Samantha is like nothing she has experienced before. “So far, that’s not something I’ve experienced in my life,” adding that her girlfriend is “so special.”
