Since Scream 4 star Nico Tortorella came out as sexually fluid earlier this summer, speculation’s been rife that he was romantically involved with internet personality and hair and fitness expert Kyle Krieger.
Now, the pair have confirmed that they were indeed once romantically involved; opening up about their six-month relationship, on Tortorella’s podcast The Love Bomb, and revealing the reasons why their romance came to an end. You can listen below:
Following the podcast’s broadcast, Krieger took to Instagram to praise his ex-boyfriend, saying: “After our breakup I wanted to just hide forever but @nicotortorella asked me to be on his Podcast #TheLoveBomb so I did. It was a healing experience to say the least.
“We talked about so much.. social media, character flaws, insecurity, dating, falling in and out of love, sex, sobriety, and a lot of other things I never thought I’d say publicly.”
Tortorella, 28, who currently stars in TV Land’s comedy drama series Younger, first publicly addressed his sexuality in June this year, but made clear at the time that he was “never in any sort of closet.”
“I think it’s one thing to hide and it’s one thing to come out of the closet in a public statement. But I’ve always done me and never been shy and have been vocal about it,” he said.
“I don’t see the world as gender binary, right? Man. Woman, there’s like a whole spectrum of people who fit into all of it and I’ve dated a lot of them. And it’s not about sex for me. It’s about being totally, emotionally connected to somebody.”
