The HBO series is no strange of LGBT characters. Renly Baratheon and Loras Tyrell are both gay, and Oberyn Martell is bi. Sadly, two of them are dead, and Loras is barely appearing on the show.
However, 6th season introduces us to a new gay character, this time is a woman and the first lesbian in Game of Thrones.
Theon Greyjoy’s sister, Yara Greyjoy came out as gay in a scene where she is kissing a woman. “Since it’s my last night ashore for a long while, I’m gonna go f**k the tits off this one,” Yara said before getting into action.

Now, another member of the cast wants her character to turn on the rainbow side. Sophie Turner portrays Sansa Stark who doesn’t seem to get along with men, so Turner thinks it’s about time to “swing other way.”
“In the Game of Thrones universe, I think she’s going to have to swing the other way – because the men thing isn’t working for her,” the actress revealed.
Gemma Whelan who plays the role of Yara says that she had no idea her character will turn out gay.
“I had no idea! I reckon she’s any way. I don’t think she’d limit herself to one or another. Anything goes. Get the job done with whatever if fun and interesting,” she said.
Fans praised Yara for turning out gay!
