You know her from the Twilight series and from most recent movies such as Camp X-Ray, Still Alice and the upcoming American Ultra, but what you did not know about, is her philosophy about life in general and love in particular.
During her adolescence years, she was your typical troubled teenager, struggling to find her personality. “I was kind of a control freak, she said in an interview for Marie Claire US magazine, if I didn’t know how something was going to turn out, I would make myself ill, or just locked up or inhibited in a way that was really debilitating. Between ages 15 and 20, it was really intense. I was constantly anxious. I lit up my universe on fire and I watched it burn. Speaking very candidly, it was a really traumatic period in my early 20s that kick-started something in me that was a bit more…feral”
Now, she is a 25 year old world known star and her life took a turn for the better and the complicated at the same time. Jumping from “I’m just a kid making movies” to “I’m an actress, man. I live in the f****** ambiguity of this life and I love it”, Kristen Stewart is constantly under the media’s flashlights, especially when it comes to her love life.
She first melted our hearts when she hooked up with her former Twilight colleague, Robert Pattinson, then she raised our eyebrows and make us scratch our heads when she was caught making out with the 44 year old Rupert Sanders, which also led to her breaking up with Pattinson in the early 2014.
Now, the rumors regarding a presupposed love affair with her personal assistant Alicia Gargile are finally confirmed, but this is not what is really amazing. What strikes us is how she dealt with the entire situation. “I have gay friends, family members, I’m accepting of people, we are all free to choose who we want to love. People are good to do whatever they like as long as they are not hurting people or breaking the law” she stated, despite the fact that she does not want to label her sexual orientation in any way. “I think in three of four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing.” Kristen Stewart declared that she does not care about what people may think about her relationship or her sexual preferences, just as she doesn’t care about other people’s love life.
In the middle of all this media commotion, her mother Jules fully supports her daughter in every aspect. “What’s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She’s happy. She’s my daughter and I’m just her mom so she knows I would accept her choices. I’ve met Kristen’s and I like her. What’s not to accept? She’s a lovely girl” she stated, in the same time worrying about her professional career, despite admitting that it’s just part of the mother’s nature, since she knows Kristen is doing great.
All in all, it seems like Kristen Stewart still has a lot to offer us and it is interesting to notice her refreshing and open minded personality, combined with a strong mental attitude. Some of us may have a lot to learn from her.
