‘My love and appreciation for you is immeasurable’
David Burtka turned 42 on Monday (29 May) and husband Neil Patrick Harris took to Instagram to make sure the world knows exactly how he feels about the man he has long shared his life with.
Harris posted a photo of actor-chef Burtka with a birthday cake and the couple’s fraternal twins Gideon and Harper and wrote:
‘Happy Birthday, David. You’re the most glorious husband/father/person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. My love and appreciation for you is immeasurable. May this be your best year yet!’
The couple were married in Italy in 2014 after more than a decade together.
They have been living in New York City in recent years after spending a decade in Los Angeles while Harris starred in the long-running sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
Burtka was one of the stars of the Broadway musical It Shoulda Been You in April 2015. He had made his Broadway debut as Tulsa in the 2003 revival of Gypsy starring Bernadette Peters.
