Three survivors of the Orlando massacre have appeared in a charity music video in the wake of the tragedy.
A number of megastars teamed up with GLAAD earlier this month to release the track ‘Hands’ in the wake of the mass shooting – which killed 49 people and left more than 50 injured.
The track, which raises funds for Equality Florida, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida, and GLAAD, features a string of artists including Britney Spears, P!nk, RuPaul, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J Blige, Adam Lambert, Imagine Dragons and Jason Derulo.
The music video for the track was released this week – and features a number of YouTube stars, as well as three survivors of the attack.
Survivors Patience Carter, Tiara Parker, and Angel Anthony Santiago are featured in images created from their hospital rooms and following release.
The video also features still footage of the families of gun violence victims and survivors from across the nation visiting the scene of the makeshift Orlando memorial in the days after the attack in order to send a message of solidarity and support.
Zeke Stokes, GLAAD’s Vice President of Programs, said: “The video for ‘Hands’ adds even more emotion and power to the song’s poignant lyrics.
“The tragedy in Orlando deeply shook everyone in the LGBT community, and this video shows a diverse array YouTubers united to pay tribute to the lives lost.”
“There has been beauty in the midst of our grief and we are grateful to these talented artists, producers, and GLAAD for helping us mourn and laugh and cry and sing together.”
‘Hands’ writer and producer Justin Tranter said: “The second I heard about this horrible tragedy where so many of my LGBTQ brothers and sisters lost their lives, I immediately got on a plane to Orlando to volunteer my help anyway I could.
“Putting this charity single together is just a way for me, and everyone involved to keep volunteering our help and promote peace and love in the world.”
