In response to growing reports about Chechnya's gay concentration camp, 50 members of Congress have signed a letter encouraging Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to speak publicly about the issue, and pressure the Russian government to investigate and stop the violence. The "bi-partisan" letter was endorsed by 47 Democrats and three Republicans: Carlos Curbelo, Charles Dent and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, PinkNews reports.

Held outside the Russian embassy at 5.30pm, the protest will be in response to the reports of 100 gay men detained in former military prisons.
