If you remember part one of the article, then you know that we have enumerated quite a few hotties and this time will be no different. Here are the next 10 celebrities who have faced gay rumors in the past, but are well over it now. Or are they?
- Jeremy Renner
It is not that difficult to understand why he has been subjected to these kinds of rumors. But while Jeremy said that he would usually find it amusing whenever that is happening, he still thinks that one’s personal life should remain that way and that judging someone by his sexual preferences is simply stupid. “Look at where we’re at socially – leaps and bounds ahead of where we started. That’s an amazing thing. To suggest that it’s negative, that being gay is a terrible thing, a perversion or whatever – I just don’t get it. Don’t you wish we were in a world where we’re not shaming, judging and boxing people in?” We sure do, Jeremy, we sure do.
- Tom Cruise
This guy may seem like a surprise entry but the reality is he has had his fair share of gay suspicions revolving around him. Leaving aside that 2003 trial case against the porn actor who claimed to have had sex with him, there is more to this than what first meets the eye. Star magazine claimed last year that Tom Cruise and John Travolta have been involved in a homosexual love affair for more than 30 years: “John literally became obsessed with Tom after seeing him in Risky Business” is the claim. Eventually the rumors were found to be unfounded. Interesting nonetheless.
- Tom Hardy
There have been several moments in time when Tom Hardy’s sexuality has been questioned, but he always elegantly refuted them. Well, not always, but he refuted them nonetheless. In 2008 he was quoted as responding to Attitude Magazine when asked if he had sex with men: “As a boy? Of course I have. I’m an actor for f***s sake. I’m an artist. I’ve played with everything and everyone.” But, don’t get too excited, because 3 years later he declared that his words were taken out of context and added: “I have never put my p***s in a man. I’ve never had a c*** in my a**, and I have no f***ing desire for it. If that’s what you like, cool. But it doesn’t do it for me.” Thanks for shattering our dreams, Tom!
- George Clooney
Everybody loves George, regardless whether we are talking about men or women. It is not hard to tell why, after all. It was only a matter of time before he got caught in the gay reflector and rumors started appearing faster than he could deny them. But he always did and he treated the situation extremely open and amused: “I think it’s funny, but the last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, ‘These are lies!’. That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I’m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private and I’m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I’m gay? I’ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don’t give a shit”
- Zac Efron
It is undeniable that shortly after High School Musical and Hairspray, Zac was somewhat considered a gay icon and this did not seem to bother him too much: “I’ve always felt embraced by the gay community, and I fell incredibly grateful and honored.” Despite this, though, he declared that he has no gay inclinations, as far as he can tell. But this did not stop him from supporting the LGBT community completely unconditional: “I don’t like to live in fear about things like rumors and backlash to begin with – that’s the way I was raised – but I just can’t see what’s so wrong about being gay.”
- Ryan Seacrest
Ryan’s sexuality has been a hot topic for quite some time and despite him having plenty of girlfriends in the past, he just could not avoid gay rumors about his sexual inclination. One of his girlfriends, Julianne Hough, said she considered him gay at first. Luckily, she ignored all the rumors and gossips and went for the kill.
- Taylor Lautner
The hot shot from The Twilight Saga probably dated some of the most gorgeous celebrities in Hollywood. But this does not mean that he has had his fair share of suspicions regarding his sexual orientation. On December 4th 2014 he has been spotted at not one, but two West Hollywood Gay Bars. One of them was The Abbey the hottest gay bar in Los Angeles, the other one is suggestively called Mother Lode and while Taylor did not stay too much in either of the locations, eyewitnesses declared that he really had a blast while being there. He and 2 of his close friends. Taylor later declared that he is straight beyond any reasonable doubt. Is that true, Taylor?
- Hugh Jackman
It is more than obvious that this hot stud has nothing to do with being gay, but this did not stop people from dreaming. Or from spreading rumors. Hugh declared in 2013 that, while he is completely unaffected by these gossips the same cannot be said about his wife Deborra-Lee Furness. “If anyone meets my wife, they’re like, ‘You’re all right, Hugh, but your wife is awesome.’ Everyone who meets her loves her. So it’s just wrong. It almost makes me sad for the people saying these things. They’re obviously in a bad place. She’s a justice freak. When she hears the gossip, she finds it hard to shut up about it. It’s frustrating that she doesn’t have a voice in the situation.”
- Jake Gyllenhaal
Who could forget the memorable role Jake had in Brokeback Mountain? No one, because that movie fueled the gay rumors about Jake Gyllenhaal for quite a while. Eventually, Jake claimed that he is as far from being gay as he can get and when asked what is it that turns him on, his reply was “Tits and a**”. So long hot, delicious dreams!
- Hulk Hogan
Who could have guessed? It all started Linda, Hulk’s ex wife, began claiming that there was a love affair between her ex husband and Brutus Beefcake, one of his best friends and show partners. As a retaliation, Brutus sued her and declared that there was nothing going on between him and Hulk Hogan. Hogan also stated that: “If it was true and I was gay, I’d embrace it, and I’d tell you guys about it and I’d celebrate it.
Unfortunately, these were all rumors and they have all proven to be unfounded. But that does not mean anything. It does not stop us from keep dreaming, right?
