One of South Africa’s longest-running soap operas has aired a same-sex kiss for the first time.
7de Laan, which premiered nearly 17 years ago, aired a surprise kiss between two of its male characters, a first in the soap’s history.
Channel24 offers us this explanation of the steamy scene: “Oppiekoffie waitresses Amorey (Kristen Raath) and Petro (Carla van der Merwe), who’ve both had a crush on handsome Logan (Simon Tuit), find out that he’s actually gay when he kisses his husband, Divan (Arnu de Villiers), in front of them.”
