“I met this guy…14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Jim Parsons took to social media last week to celebrate his 14th anniversary with boyfriend Todd Spiewak.
The Big Bang Theory star posted an adorable shot of the pair on Instagram along with a sweet message thanking Spiewak for the “greatest gift” he’s ever given him.
“I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest,” he wrote. “One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke. Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn’t do that back then hahaha!”
The two first met at a karaoke bar after being set up on a blind date by mutual friends. Though Parsons is no fan of karaoke, he said in a 2015 interview that the two connected instantly.
In 2012, Parsons officially came out in a conversation with the New York Times about his role in the Broadway hit The Normal Heart. He then began to appear in public with Spiewak by his side.
