Remember The Real O’Neals’s Noah Galvin? Well, he’s back with a gay-themed podcast.
Galvin is teaming up with Tony & Grammy Award winner Ari’el Stachel to create a scripted podcast series called The Two Princes. The audio series, written by Kevin Christopher Snipes and directed by Mimi O’Donnell, will follow two rival princes who eventually fall in love, according to Variety.
More specifically, Galvin will voice Prince Rupert. Rupert is on a mission to break an 18-year-old curse placed on his kingdom. But the plan becomes a mess of emotions after Rupert meets the striking and infuriating Prince Amir, played by Stachel. Amir is from a rival kingdom, which is suffering from a similar dilemma. The two then join forces for a grand adventure mixed with perilous danger and something even more frightening, love.
Galvin and Stachel will be joined by actors Christine Baranski (“The Good Wife,” “The Good Fight”), Shohreh Aghdashloo (“House of Sand and Fog,” “The Expanse”), Matthew Rhys (“The Americans”) and Samira Wiley (“Orange Is the New Black,” “The Handmaid’s Tale”).
This series is one of the firsts in a new host of programs by Gimlet Media. Gimlet Media is a Brooklyn-based podcast production company that was bought by Spotify earlier this year. This was done in an effort by Spotify to diversify its content beyond music.
If this project sounds interesting to you, you won’t have to wait long to hear it. The seven-episode series will be available, in its entirety, starting Tuesday, June 4th. The free series will be accessible through major podcast platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
