At 40 years old, Neil Patrick Harris is one of the sexiest gay men alive! He is afraid his fans from How I Met Your Mother will be alarmed by his pending weight loss, which will not be caused by any illness but for preparation for his role as Hedwig. He stated “As Barney I’m all shoulders and arms and chest, but as Hedwig I’ll be all legs and butt and back, Like Cyd Charisse”.
Neil revealed in 2014 that it was a friendly kiss from Burt Reynolds, also an actor, that made the realization that he was gay.
He has a memoir called, Choose Your Own Autobiography, which describes the journey of acceptance for both him and his loved ones. The book apparently, grapples with the years Neil spent coming to terms with his own sexuality, during which he told people he was bisexual before revealing he was totally gay. After a long time and rough journey of fighting with himself he now embraces being gay, recognizing it as a wonderful and integrally important component part of the totality that is him.
