Why does gay sex scares people?

I know it sounds weird, but this is how things actually are. People are afraid of gay sex and it seems like it goes down to our biology. The so called “gay therapies” that many homosexuals have been subjected to seemed to work at the time, but new studies today actually negate those observations. When interviewed, the same gay people who have been “de-converted” claimed that they are still sexually attracted by the opposite sex just as before. The only difference is that they are not taking actions in that sense anymore. Which is why they don’t think at themselves as gays and this error in the reasoning comes from the fact that they associate homosexuality with sexual behavior rather than with identity.

The matter of the fact remains: people are afraid of gay sex. Also, when we are saying “people” we actually mean religious people, which means that their conservative views regarding sex are the ones responsible for the said fear. Conservatives view sex as the means to procreate and anything besides that is a form of perversity. Anal sex, as you can imagine, rates highest on the perversity scale and this is not something new. In the past, gay behavior was strongly related to pedophilia, because there was no deeper understanding of the phenomenon. Nowadays, most of the conservatives still consider homosexuality to fall in the same category as pedophilia, failing to see that the distinction is made by the consensual behavior. In the case of pedophilia there is no such thing.

There have been some studies trying to reveal the religious people’s way of thinking and the result was weird to say the least. It looks like the majority of the religious conservatives consider sexual perversions equally damaging to drugs. They see premarital sex like smoking pot, occasional sex like meth and gay sex, as being the worst of all, is assimilated to the heroin consumption. The really weird part is that they actually think it posses the same danger to one’s health as heroin does.

But this is not enough to cause that incisive attitude towards others’ sexual preferences, right? I mean, if gay sex is as dangerous as you think it is, what do you care? You are not the one experiencing it, right? So there is no danger here. RIGHT? Wrong. Studies that took place several years ago analyzed the sexual activity of conservative religious couples and concluded that, while the large majority of them, if not all, share the same views regarding sexual perversions, they still practice them in private. The numbers go like this:

95% of the religious people condemn masturbation, 99% of whom are practicing it
98% of the religious people condemn premarital sex, 60% of whom are practicing it
95% of the religious people condemn homosexuality, more than 35% of them are homosexuals and an unknown percent are practicing it.

Also, the same studies concluded that deeply conservative people are the biggest consumers of porn, despite their vitriolic attitude towards those practices. So, you see, the main problem is that religious people associate sex with a drug addiction, especially since they are able to analyze that theory within themselves. Bottom line is this. Some people are indeed afraid of gay sex and now we are able to understand why. The more an individual expresses hate and rejection towards sexual diversity, the more chances there are that he has a lot of repressed sexual desires and the more an individual is violent towards homosexuals, the higher the chances that he is gay himself.
