The Rowlett City Council voted on Tuesday, May 7, to disband its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission. In March, we reported that the council was considering renaming the commission because the term DEI was “toxic and divisive.”

Nicholas Galitzine, who has played several gay or queer characters both on TV and in films, says he has felt “somewhat guilty” over the possibility that he, as a straight man, is “taking up someone’s space.”
