Discrimination Against a Gay Man Occurred and it was Completely Legal
I don't know what it is about businesses refusing service to LGBTQ people but I do know that I'm tired of it. First the Masterpiece Cakeshop debacle and now this. Colton Southworth and his husband were denied service specifically because they're a gay couple.
Southworth and his husband had recently moved to Atlanta, Georgia and had dreams to transform their lawn into a beautiful garden. Colton researched different lawn services and found Botanica Atlanta Landscape and Design.
Southworth was enamored by...
“We Are Family” Theme Helps To Double Dublin, Ireland’s Pride Celebration
I love seeing the pictures of prides around the world. Viewing how some countries that are further along in and others that are just starting out in the LGBTQ+ equality fight are celebrating their prides is full of emotions. Knowing that some have such a long way to go, others are doing it better than the US, and knowing that the entire overall theme is L.O.V.E.
The American Pride movement of course started with the riots at Stonewall Inn. Not...

Defying the DUP to bring marriage equality to Northern Ireland
The stakes are high. The peculiarities of Northern Ireland politics have provided us with a unique and historic opportunity.
With enough support, the right to marry the person you love, to be a full and a equal citizen of the UK, could finally come to the people of Northern Ireland.
With direct rule in operation, the promise of a free vote in the UK Parliament from the Northern Ireland secretary, and a private member’s bill to be introduced at the end...

Who Keeps Stealing Rainbow Flags From This Wisconsin Town?
"There just seems to be more people feeling they have a duty or right to be mean and destructive."
Hudson, Wisconsin, has a population of just over 12,000 and is a good 300 miles from Milwaukee. But it’s being plagued by a big-city problem: Someone keeps stealing rainbow flags from people’s porches.
In April 2017, Pride flags were stolen from two homes and a third was set on fire, with the burned remains left on the sidewalk. It wasn’t the first...

“The State Department is refusing to acknowledge the citizenship of children whose parents are same-sex married couples. This policy is not only illegal, it...
