First Active-Duty Gay Couple Married at West Point
Is there anything hotter than two Army men getting married?
Capt. Daniel Hall, 30, and Capt. Vinny Franchino, 26, both Apache helicopter pilots, were the first active-duty, same-sex couple to say "I do" at West Point last weekend, the New York Times reported.
The couple met in 2009 at a time when the military essentially barred the LGBT community from being out due to former President Bill Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

Police in Toronto have arrested and charged a man with the murder of two gay men.
Selim Esen, 43, and Andrew Kinsman, 49, disappeared last April and June respectively. Friends and family feared the worst as their disappearances were totally out of character.

In a 4-1 vote on Tuesday (9 January), the city leaders of Paducah, Kentucky voted to pass an anti-discrimination law.
Paducah became the ninth city in the state to pass what’s known as a fairness ordinance. It consists of explicit laws banning discrimination of LGBT people for housing and public services.
It’s the first town in western Kentucky to pass a fairness ordinance. The town, settled in 1821, currently boasts a population a little over 25,000.
