'I'm leaping with joy like a bird' Yesterday, Taiwan became the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage. It was a historic moment for the country and many people gathered outside of the legislature building to hear the ruling. People cheered, laughed and cried when the ruling was handed down. The Council of Grand Justices ruled that it was unconstitutional to discriminate against same-sex couples. The court gave legislators two years to make the changes, after which they would come in...

Good riddance Same-sex couples are now legally allowed to sue Rowan County clerk Kim Davis, who refused to give out marriage licenses to gay couples even when federally ordered to do so. A ruling last August denied David Ermold and David Moore's lawsuit against Davis, but today, an appeals court has ruled that the suit is valid, because it is “not a general challenge to Davis’s policy, but rather seeks damages for a particularized harm allegedly suffered by a specific set...

Gay Marriage Bill Debated

Barely any same-sex couples are opting for religious wedding ceremonies in England and Wales, data has revealed. Same-sex couples were able to enter religious unions for the first time when same-sex marriage became legal in 2014. Prior to this gay couples were only able to enter civil partnerships, which were not permitted in religious institutions. However, despite the ability to have a religious ceremony, data released by the ONS this week has shown same-sex couples overwhelmingly shunned the option of a...

The Home Office is encouraging LGBT refugees to go back in the closet. Under new government guidelines, the UK is denying asylum to gay Afghan refugees, says they’ll be safe in their home country if they “pretend to be straight.” The guide was released last month by the Home Office and has drawn heavy criticism from human rights groups who argue that the document is in violation of international law. “The Home Office’s approach seems to be telling asylum seekers, ‘Pretend you’re...

A new study claims gender is still ‘by far’ the deciding factor for couples when splitting daily jobs. For most couples, gender remains the most important factor when deciding who will cook dinner or take the bins out – even if that couple is gay. New research claims that gender stereotypes still play an integral part in same-sex relationships – with daily tasks being assigned based on who is more ‘masculine’ or ‘feminine’. The person seen as more ‘feminine’ is more likely...

Christmas decorations featuring same-sex couples have been pulled from sale after demands from evangelical Christian campaigners. Anti-LGBT campaigner Andrea Williams of Christian Concern had fumed about the Christmas ornaments, which were being sold by a designer on crafts website Zazzle.com. The twin decorations, which were on sale for £13 each, feature two men and two women over the baby Jesus, in place of Mary and Joseph. Venting to MailOnline, Ms Williams – whose fringe activist group supports gay ‘cure’ therapy – said:...

Same-sex couples are more likely to work on their sex lives. Same-sex couples are more likely to have a happy sex life in long-term relationships compared to straight couples. And not only are gay people more likely to work on and try new things in their sex life, they are also less likely to believe they are ‘destined’ to be with a perfect partner. According to new research by the University of Toronto, both same-sex and opposite-sex couples were happier when they...
cuckolding

Generally speaking, it’s straight people who copy gay people; in this case, it appears to be the other way around. More and more gay couples are engaging in cuckolding, the act of watching one’s partner have sex with another person, typically someone with larger genitalia. Cuckolding used to be classified as more of a heterosexual activity (in fact, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary still defines it as such), but it appears those rules are being rewritten. “We might think that no one likes to be cheated on, but the truth is, some...
